Rice extract

Rice extracts have been part of East Asian skincare for centuries, long before anyone measured why they worked. Modern formulas use rice water, rice bran and fermented rice ferment filtrate for a mixture of amino acids, vitamin E and mild antioxidants. Zinc

Zinc in a leave-on formula is there to moderate oil and calm inflammation. It is a long-standing pairing with niacinamide, because niacinamide steadies barrier function while zinc addresses the sebum and the redness that oily, blemish-prone skin brings with it. The amounts used are small and the effect is cumulative rather than immediate.
