What is in it
Snail mucin
Snail secretion filtrate is a mixture rather than a single active — glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and zinc among other things. That mixture is why it behaves as a hydrator, a barrier support and a mild repair ingredient all at once, and why it is so hard to attribute the result to any one component. Rice extract
Rice extracts have been part of East Asian skincare for centuries, long before anyone measured why they worked. Modern formulas use rice water, rice bran and fermented rice ferment filtrate for a mixture of amino acids, vitamin E and mild antioxidants. The effect is a soft, even brightness rather than the targeted pigment work of an acid or a tyrosinase inhibitor — it makes skin look well, without treating anything specific.
