Rice extract
Fermentation is the interesting part of a rice formula. The process breaks larger molecules into smaller ones and generates amino acids and organic acids that were not there before, which is why fermented rice filtrate behaves differently from plain rice water. Panthenol
Panthenol converts in skin to pantothenic acid — vitamin B5 — and behaves as both a humectant and a soother. It is the ingredient that makes an active formula feel calm rather than sharp, and it is common in aftercare for exactly that reason. It supports the barrier, reduces the look of redness, and helps skin hold water without any of the heaviness of an oil.
