What is in it

Hyaluronic acid

Different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid sit at different depths, which is why good formulas use several rather than one. The larger fractions hold water at the surface and smooth immediately; the smaller ones travel further and hydrate less visibly but more usefully. None of it is permanent — hydration is maintenance, not a cure — but skin that is properly hydrated looks plumper and tolerates active ingredients better. What to use it with

Sunscreen needs to be removed properly at the end of the day, and it sits better over a well-hydrated base. Where it fits in your routine

Sunscreen is the final morning step, applied over moisturiser and under makeup, and it is the single most effective anti-ageing product in any routine. The amount matters as much as the product: roughly two finger-lengths for the face and neck, which is far more than most people apply. Reapply through the day if you are outdoors. Every brightening ingredient in your routine is working against the sun, and without this step the sun wins.

Before you start

Patch test on a small area behind the ear or along the jaw before the first full application, particularly if your skin reacts easily. Introduce one new product at a time so that if something does not agree with you, you know which one it was.
