What is in it
PDRN
PDRN — polydeoxyribonucleotide — arrived in home skincare from clinical use, where injectable forms are used to support tissue repair. Applied topically the molecule is large and the delivered dose is far smaller, so expectations should be set accordingly: this is a hydrating, barrier-supporting ingredient with early evidence for skin recovery, not a clinic treatment in a bottle. Glutathione
Glutathione is an antioxidant the body produces itself, and it is heavily marketed for skin tone across South and East Asia. The topical evidence is thin but not absent — it appears to interfere with pigment production in a similar way to other tyrosinase inhibitors. The evidence for oral supplements is weaker still, and the injectable form is genuinely unsafe and unapproved. Applied to skin, it is a reasonable mild brightener and no more than that.
What to use it with
