Snail secretion filtrate is a mixture rather than a single active — glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid and zinc among other things. That mixture is why it behaves as a hydrator, a barrier support and a mild repair ingredient all at once, and why it is so hard to attribute the result to any one component.
